Who We Serve

Diverse Voices in Education (DVIE) is an IRS 501(c)(3) designated not-for-profit entity and was established in 2021 by Glastonbury Public Schools (GPS) educators to bring students of diverse backgrounds into the education professions. Our goal is to help our Black, Native-American/Alaskan Native, Asian/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino/a students earn admission into bachelors programs that will prepare them for public school education.

Our DVIE Board

The Diverse Voices in Education Board of Directors is composed of a team of Glastonbury Public Schools educators who meet to organize, develop and administer the day-to-day activities of the scholarship.

Our GEA Partnership

DVIE  is proudly partnered with the Glastonbury Education Association (GEA). The GEA represents more than 500 dedicated education professionals serving the students and community of Glastonbury, Connecticut. When the DVIE scholarship was first conceived, the GEA was quick to embrace its mission and to commit annual financial support that is critical for the scholarship’s success.
